When you have a great partner, it shows. In this case, it showed with our client, Delgado Community College, winning three awards in the 8th Annual Education Digital Marketing Competition.
Delgado is a community college that prides itself on helping students advance themselves and has served the New Orleans community for 100 years. It’s their mission at heart to prepare students from diverse backgrounds to attain their educational, career, and personal goals, to think critically, to demonstrate leadership and to be productive and responsible citizens.
In 2017, Gov. John Bel Edwards, Mayor Mitch Landrieu and DXC Technology announced the company would establish a 2,000-job Digital Transformation Center in the heart of New Orleans. These jobs will require talent, so DXC pursued a highly integrated model of higher education to prepare talent. To meet this new demand, the State of Louisiana funded a $25 million higher education initiative to help more people get a degree in computer science, technology, engineering and math, or STEM-related studies. Delgado Community College in New Orleans was one of the four lead campuses selected for this initiative.
This was no small accomplishment to be selected, and the messaging to announce the need for people in these fields needed to be flawless. Brew worked with Delgado Community College to produce a :60 video showcasing their IT courses and programs. Not only did the commercial help raise the bar of their IT offerings, it represented Delgado as a force for the future. See more of our work for this campaign here.
The Education Digital Marketing Awards recognizes the best educational websites, digital content, electronic communications, mobile media and social media produced by higher education organizations nationwide.
In addition to the IT video, Brew made two award winning videos that were a part of an initiative to encourage enrollment after the pandemic. We’re proud of the three videos below and our relationship with Delgado Community College. We look forward to seeing the next generation of technical workers excelling and making Louisiana a more vital tech hub.
