Louisiana celebrated its 200th anniversary of statehood in 2012. The Louisiana Department of Culture and Tourism asked Brew to feature the bi-centennial year in their annual archaeology month’s promotional poster. Brew was challenged with creating a visually interesting poster by using a scan of the first map ever created for the state and real-life 18th century artifacts.
The following year, Louisiana’s own Poverty Point was nominated for the prestigious World Heritage List. This theme was chosen to be featured in the 2013 poster. Working with satellite photos and scaled illustrations of the monumental earthworks, Brew’s design team took an impactful, graphic approach to the design.
